Three Iranian movies finish online streaming

Three other Iranian films have been set to enter the domestic market of home entertainment soon as they finished their online release.

After more than 30 days of online screening, ‘Blade and Cashmere’, ‘Slaughterhouse’ and ‘Bewilderment’ (Boht) are currently not available online.

They sold more than 90,000 tickets, making about 13 billion rials.

The trio would enter the home entertainment market soon.

‘Exodus’, directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia, is the first Iranian film to stream online without getting a theatrical release after the coronavirus outbreak led to the closure of movie theaters as part of measures aimed to curb the spread of the COVID-19 respiratory disease caused by the virus.

The flu-like deadly virus first emerged in China in late 2019 and has now infected millions of people and killed hundreds of thousands across the world.
